Ironically, s8ist is one of the most articulate and lucid posters in the Pit, generally filling his posts with facts and details, and explaining his opinions with such. The content of this particular OP certainly continues that record.

It seems pretty clear that the title was specifically written for its shock value, perhaps even an over the top parody of some of the other titles, generally posted about Obama.

So, no need to insult or degrade s8ist, whose posts are practically literary com pared to some of the moronic drivel that passes for debate (or even English) usually gracing these pages. Just simply put the new rule in place.

So piece of shit motherfucker is OK in the thread, just not in the title? Gary's right about S8ist, he usually has well written thoughtful posts. Maybe the title is a display of frustration over getting the jerk-off smiley in response to a valid point. Or the multitudes of threads about Obama that are nearly as bad.

The thread title was because he posted the exact same thing with a milder title and no one seemed to care.

This is my first post to this thread specifically because of the title. I thought I was going to be opening up a Huffington or Daily Kos link.
I'm starting to even have problems with some of the sensational gratuitous nonsensical vulgar posts by some. Maybe thats why we have so many "guests". Or a few that make a couple posts and are gone.

I'm vehemintly against rule imposed censorship. Of any kind. But a little self censorship might be in order, in particularly on thread titles. Especially since there is no information in this post that McCain was "doing" his mother. Thats my way of saying that not only is the title misleading and grossly vulgar but a over the top abuse of the free speech policy of the PIT. As was the Death threat of the President the other day..

I may be getting too old for this school yard shit. I even got miffed over the reference to Jon in that tree huger thread. IMHO I thought that was poor judgment too.

Both threads had the same first post. The other one got no replies, this one is on the second page. The post is full of fact and details about McCain's changing positions. No reply to any of the facts in either thread, just complaints about the title. None of you guys care about the facts, you're going to vote Republican no matter what. Every day that I listen to Rush, what do I see here? Threads started about whatever Rush talked about. All the while he tells you that you're the ones who think for themselves.

As a forum on political and social issues, it's odd that everything is so one-sided. Can't have it both ways. Either you agree that you want change or not. If you want someone who will change his position with the current events and the people's wishes, or you want more of the same. McCain Originally ran on more of the same He voted the same 90% of the time with Bush
so the claim goes. It's Obama that runs on change. McCain is just trying to do the same as Obama now. Still there is enough difference in McCain and Obama to make a choice that suits you. When it comes to the key issues, Economy and taxes- Both will raise your taxes and do it with a different flare. Energy- Both will have an energy policy with little difference. Spend out of control- Both will do that too. Deficit spending is what America wants regardless of what the experts tell them. Both candidates will run the deficit up exceeding what Bush did.

So, without Bush or Obama guiding McCain on what to do, who will take over that task if he is elected. Palin?

If Obama is elected what will he do? Probably forget all the campaign promises and do what he feels best for everyone else.

The beauty these guys have with all the flipflopping change plans, is they can do anything and fall back on what they promised at some point in time.
